It’s the closest Serie A title race in years, with just nine points separating the top five. Here are our betting tips for this weekend’s Serie A action.

Spezia v AC Milan: AC Milan win and Zlatan Ibrahimovic to score - 4

The recent loss to Atalanta hasn’t appeared to derail Milan’s season. They’ve bounced back with two victories and have maintained their spot at the top of Serie A. This week’s trip to Spezia shouldn’t present too many problems. The home side have only managed five victories this season.

One of the key reasons for Milan’s success has been the imperious form of Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The veteren Swedish striker has scored 14 goals in only 11 appearances this season, and will be confident of adding to his tally this week.

Inter Milan v Lazio: Over 4.5 goals - 5.5

Lazio are absolutely flying at the minute. They’ve won their last five Serie A games and have propelled themselves into the title race. They face a huge test of their credentials this week, when they travel to the San Siro to face free-scoring Inter Milan. Inter are the top scorers in Serie A. The 51 goals they’ve scored is their best 21 game tally for over 60 years.

Inter’s Romelu Lukaku and Ciro Immobile of Lazio have each scored 14 goals this season and will expect to get opportunities to add to that tally on Sunday. In short, you can expect plenty of goalmouth excitement in this one. The 5.5 on offer for there being at least five goals is an excellent price.

Torino v Genoa: Genoa - 4

Genoa have picked up an excellent thirteen points from their last five games. All of their relegation fears have subsided and they can look forward to a comfortable end to the season. Torino have drawn four of their last five games and are still in the midst of their own relegation battle. Defeat here could see them slip into the bottom three. But whilst the home side have a lot more to play for, it’s impossible to look past Genoa’s form. Especially when they are priced as high as 4.

Napoli v Juventus: Juventus to win & Cristiano Ronaldo to score - 5.5

Juve are only five points ahead of Napoli in the Serie A table, but they’ve won their last three games and appear to be coming into the form that has seen them win nine Scudettos in a row. Naples is always a tricky place to visit, but Napoli have struggled for consistency this season.

Unsurprisingly, Cristiano Ronaldo has been at the forefront of Juve’s recent form. His 16 goals in 17 games this season has seen his tally for Juve rise to an incredible 79 goals in 100 games. An away win, with Ronaldo notching up yet another goal, looks excellent value at 5.5
