Premier League Fantasy Football Picks
It’s a huge week of Fantasy Premier League action, as 14 teams play twice. There are plenty of points up for grabs, so let’s look at our Premier League Fantasy Football picks for Gameweek 26:
GK - Ederson
Manchester City are setting all kinds of records this season. Surprisingly, this has been primarily down to their rock solid defence. Ederson has conceded just one goal from open play in his last 10 appearances. It’s very hard to see either West Ham or Wolves breaching the City rearguard this week.
DEF - Luke Shaw
Shaw has been a steady performer this season and is a fixture in the United side. United face Chelsea and Crystal Palace this week. Both fixtures look tricky, but Shaw is more than capable of registering at least one clean sheet.
DEF - Lucas Digne
Everton face struggling West Brom and Southampton in Gameweek 26. This makes Digne a hugely appealing Fantasy option. The Frenchmen is enjoying a fine season, his excellent crossing ability means he offers a point scoring threat at both ends of the pitch.
DEF - Joao Cancelo
To call Cancelo a defender is a bit of a disservice. He seems to pop up everywhere on the pitch and has been a huge part of City’s incredible winning run. He’s only scored once this season, but has registered 25 shots on goal, so it seems inevitable he will add to his tally soon.
MID - Harvey Barnes
If you’re looking for a form horse this week, Barnes could be the man. The Leicester midfielder has an impressive three goals and four assists in his last five games. Barnes and the Foxes will be full of confidence going into their games with midtable Arsenal and Burnley.
MID - Mo Salah
Liverpool are in an awful run of form, but Mo Salah is still finding the net on a regular basis. He’s scored four in his last five and with Liverpool facing bottom club Sheffield United this week, Salah has a great chance of adding to his goal tally.
MID - Ilkay Gundogan
Gundogan failed to find the net at Arsenal, but that shouldn’t stop Fantasy owners picking him. The German has scored at least eight Fantasy points in seven of City’s last 11 games. He’s their top scorer and in the form of his life. More goals are only a matter of time.
MID - Bruno Fernandes
Fernandes has been the standout performer for Manchester United this season. He’s scored 15 goals, as well as contributing nine assists. Fernandes is also lethal from the penalty spot, he’s scored from 12 yards seven times this season.
FWD - Harry Kane
Kane has a fantastic double header this week. Spurs may be out of form, but games against Burnley and Fulham offer the England captain two great opportunities to find the net. Kane has scored 13 this season and has also contributed 11 assists.
FWD - Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Calvert-Lewin was left out of the Everton side that emerged victorious at Anfield, but that was an astute tactical decision from Carlos Ancelotti. Expect to see Calvert-Lewin back in the starting 11 for both of Everton’s games this week. The striker has 13 goals this season and has two excellent chances to add to his tally.
FWD - Patrick Bamford
Bamford is the surprise package of the season. He’s scored 13 goals, has 5 assists and looks like he was born to play in the top flight. Leeds’ attacking style means that he will always get chances and Bamford has been the main beneficiary of that.
