BTTS and Over 2.5 Goals Predictions For This Week’s Premier League Games
The Premier League returns this weekend with some mouth watering fixtures. There could be goals galore in some of the games, so here are our BTTS and over 2.5 goals predictions.
Arsenal v Liverpool: 1.9
It’s been a season of underachievement for both Arsenal and Liverpool, but they still possess some world class talent and this could be a thrilling encounter. Liverpool still have a chance of reaching the Champions League places but will need a strong end to the season. This is virtually a must win game if they are to retain hopes of a top four finish, so it seems likely they will play on the front foot. Meanwhile, Arsenal’s best hope of playing in the Champions League is by winning the Europa League. As such, they may rest a few players here, but they will still possess a threat and Liverpool have been susceptible defensively in recent months.
Goals look a certainty here, and whilst Liverpool will be favourites, both sides should manage to score at least one goal.
Newcastle United v Tottenham Hotspur: 2.2
Predicting Newcastle to score a goal isn’t often a wise move, but given their predicament, Steve Bruce surely has to throw caution to the wind at some point. Spurs are still in the European hunt and you have to fancy any team containing Harry Kane, Son Heung-Min and Gareth Bale to score at least a couple of goals. On the basis that Spurs will take the lead here, you’ve got to believe that the Toon will have to try and attack. Without Callum Wilson in the team, Newcastle’s goal threat is pretty meek, so this might seem a long shot, but we’re tipping them to find the back of the net this week.
This tip is more of a hunch than a solid prediction. We just think that whilst Spurs are potent in attack, they can be vulnerable in defence and that Newcastle will breach them.
Leicester City v Manchester City: 1.93
The standout tie of the weekend looks a great bet for BTTS and over 2.5 goals. City’s success this season has been largely down to their rock solid defence, but they have still scored eight more goals than any other top flight team. Leicester have also been in fine attacking form and only the two Manchester clubs have scored more than them.
This game is going to feature an array of attacking talent - Jamie Vardy, Kevin de Bruyne, Kelechi Ihanancho, Gabriel Jesis, Riyad Mahrez, Youri Tielemens, Barnardo Silva, Raheem Sterling, Ayoze Perez, Phil Foden et al. And that’s not even mentioning the prolific Ilkay Gundogan, who is the Premier League’s top scorer this calendar year.
Goals look a certainty and City should come out on top, but we fancy the Foxes to grab at least one goal.
Whatever your choices are this week, make sure you gamble responsibly! Good luck and we’ll be back next week with some more BTTS and over 2.5 goals predictions.
