Premier League Fantasy Football Picks
The Premier League is back after the international break, so that means you need to get your Premier League Fantasy Football team sorted out. Here are our top tips.
GK - Edouard Mendy
Chelsea have been excellent defensively since Mendy replaced Kepa Arrizabalaga in goal. This week they face relegation haunted West Brom at Stamford Bridge, anything less than a clean sheet for Mendy would be a huge surprise.
DEF - Reece James
Carrying on the Chelsea theme, James is enjoying an excellent season in the Blues backline. He also poses a strong attacking threat and can deliver an excellent cross from the right flank. Look for him to score points at both ends of the pitch this week.
DEF - Ben Godrefy
Everton has been poor at home this season, but Godfrey has been constantly excellent for the Toffees. This week Everton host mid table Crystal Palace. Roy Hodgson’s side are goal shy away from Selhurst Park and this represents a great opportunity for Everotn to improve their home form and register a clean sheet.
DEF - Joao Cancelo
Cancelo has been a revelation for Manchester City this season. To call him a full back only tells half the story. His attacking play has created plenty of chances for his team mates and it only seems a matter of time before he starts adding more goals to his game.
MID - Jesse Lingard
Lingard is in superb form and at £6.2m represents excellent Fantasy Premier League value. His loan move to West Ham has revitalised his career and earned him a recall to the England squad. This week the Hammers face mid table Wolves, not an easy fixture, but given his price and form Lingard is a must pick in Premier League Fantasy Football.
MID - Gareth Bale
We’re sticking with Bale despite his erratic form. Few players have a ceiling as high as the Welshman and if he’s in form he can win you a Fantasy game on his own. A trip to St James Park gives Bale a chance to do exactly that.
MID - Mason Mount
Mount is in the form of his career for both club and country. He’s established himself as a key player in the England squad and Thomas Tuchel views him similarly for Chelsea. His creativity and passing, plus his goal threat make him a strong pick for this week’s home game with West Brom.
MID - Raphinha
Raphinha has been a standout player for Leeds this season. His creativity and goalscoring threat have been pivotal in United’s successful first campaign back in the Premier League. Best of all, Leeds face bottom side Sheffield United this week, making Raphinha an attractive Fantasy option.
FWD - Harry Kane
Kane is essentially matchup proof in Fantasy and he’s a strong pick for captain this week. Spurs travel to out of form Newcastle, which gives Kane a superb opportunity of getting on the scoresheet and even providing an assist or two.
FWD - Ollie Watkins
Watkins has enjoyed a week to remember as he made his England debut and bagged a goal against San Marino. Goals have been in short supply in the Premier League, but we’re going to stick with Watkins this week. Aston Villa face a home game with lowly Fulham, the ideal encounter for Watkins to build on his international exploits.
FWD - Patrick Bamford
Bamford was excellent in Leeds’ victory over Fulham last time out. He bagged a goal and assist, as well as putting in an excellent all round display. He has the dream Fantasy matchup for a striker this week as Leeds host Sheffield United.
