Premier League Fantasy Football Picks
Gameweek 333 could be a problematic one for Fantasy Premier League owners. The League Cup final means that four teams are without a game, including league leaders Manchester City and Harry Kane’s Spurs. Here are our top Premier League Fantasy Football picks to help you out:
GK - Emiliano Martinez
Martinez has been an inspired signing for Aston Villa. He’s barely put a foot wrong all season and has been a key part of their solid Premier League campaign. Villa face a favourable Fantasy Football matchup this week against lowly West Brom.
DEF - Lucas Digne
A trip to the Emirates used to be a terrible Fantasy Football matchup for defenders, but those days are in the past and you can confidently start Digne this week. Everton have been very consistent away from home, whilst Arsenal have been dreadful in recent games.
DEF - Trent Alexander Arnold
Alexander Arnold has managed a goal and an assist in his last two Premier League games. Liverpool have a great matchup at home to Newcastle this week, so keep Alexander-Arnold in your line up.
DEF - Lewis Dunk
Picking a defender against Sheffield United has been a Premier League Fantasy no brainer all season. The Blades are now relegated and look as toothless as ever in front of goal. Three points and a clean sheet for Dunk looks a very strong possibility.
MID - Jesse Lingard
Lingard is virtually undroppable in Fantasy Premier League and despite West Ham facing a tough game with Chelsea this week. Lingard has even grabbed the penalty taker role at West Ham, so is an even more attractive prospect for the rest of the season.
MID - Mo Salah
Stop press: Salah failed to find the net against Leeds. It ended a fine goalscoring run, but given Liverpool’s home matchup with Newcasstle this week, there’s good reason to believe Salah can rediscover his scoring boots. Salah also represents a strong contender for the captaincy role in Gameweek 33.
MID - Richarlison
Richarlison has thrived in his central role in recent weeks. With Dominic Calvert-Lewin injured and Josh King out of favour, the Brazillian has been given a key attacking role by Carlo Ancelotti. Everton face a trip to Arsenal this week and given the Gunners poor form, it looks a strong matchup for Richarlison.
MID - Bruno Fernandes
Annoyingly, Fernandes didn’t receive any aisst points for his superb dummy against Burnley, but it was a sign of a player near the top of his game. Fernandes hasn’t been in great goalscoring form in recent games, but the Portuguese midfielder is still United’s biggest threat and a Fantasy Football must pick.
FWD - Ollie Watkins
Watkins has found the net in his last two Premier League appearances and a home matchup with West Brom gives him a great opportunity to make it three in a row.
FWD - Chris Wood
Woods has scored at least ten goals in each of the three previous Premier League campaigns. He’s on seven this season, but his partnership with Matej Vydra suggests he’s still got a chance of hitting double figures. Burnley face a tricky trip to midtable Wolves this week, it’s not an easy fixture but Wood still represents solid Fantasy value.
FWD - Kelechi Iheanacho
Iheanacho is in the form of his life. He’s taken over from Jamie Vardy as the Foxes’ biggest goal scoring threat and he’s managed 10 goals in his last eight games. Leicester still need a few wins to cement their Champions League place and a home match with Crystal Palace represents the perfect chance for three points and another Iheanacho goal.
